What is Boost Mindset?

Boost Mindset is the family of four apps built by Boost Innovation for youth sport: Coach Mindset (for the coach on the bench), Parent Mindset (for the parent in the car), Mindset Reps for Athletes (for the kid in the jersey), and Official's Mindset (for the person with the whistle). Same long game philosophy. Four different vantage points. One playbook. All four are live on the App Store.

What is the difference between the four apps?

Coach Mindset helps coaches plan, run, and reflect on sessions. AI practice planning across 45+ sports, a live drill timer, a 60 second reflection habit, and a personalized learning path.

Parent Mindset helps parents navigate the moments that actually shape an athlete's relationship with sport. The car ride home, the angry email to the coach you should not send, the night your kid says they want to quit. Sixty three articles, thirty Right Now situations, twenty two guided pathways.

Mindset Reps for Athletes helps developing athletes 12 to 22 build the inner game. Mental skills, identity, self awareness, Game Mode for the moments inside competition. Live on the App Store.

Official's Mindset helps referees, umpires, judges, and officials build composure, consistency, and longevity in the hardest job in the building. Game Mode for officials, conflict scripts, calibration tracking. Live on the App Store.

What is Official's Mindset?

Official's Mindset is the fourth Boost Mindset app, built for referees, umpires, judges, and officials in youth and amateur sport. It includes:

  • Game Mode for officials. What to do between calls, between periods, between games. Reset routines that actually reset.
  • 30 conflict scripts. What to say (and not say) to a screaming coach, an angry parent, an athlete who just blew up. 30 seconds per scenario.
  • Calibration tracking. Consistency by quarter, foul-call drift, post-game decompression. Stay sharp at week 22.
  • The longevity playbook. Officials are the hardest job in the building and the most under-resourced role in sport. We're built to keep them showing up.

Live on the Apple App Store.

Are these apps on the Apple App Store?

Yes. All four apps are live on the App Store today: Coach Mindset, Parent Mindset, Mindset Reps for Athletes, and Official's Mindset. They also work on the web and on Android.

Is there a family bundle?

Yes. The Family bundle ($14.99/month) unlocks all four apps for one household with four athlete seats included. All four apps are live, so the bundle is fully active today.

What is the Boost Mindset Framework?

Five pillars that drive every choice in every app:

  1. The Long Game. Optimize for who the kid is at twenty five, not who wins on Saturday.
  2. The Four Sidelines. Coach, parent, athlete, official. One playbook, four vantage points.
  3. Development > Scoreboard. Make growth as visible as the wins.
  4. Reflection Compounds. One sixty second habit per session, one season of insight.
  5. Identity, Not Output. Build the kid worth becoming whether sport pays off or not.

What is the science behind it?

Four research streams. Long Term Athlete Development (LTAD), the stage based model used by national sport bodies worldwide. Self Determination Theory, the psychology of intrinsic motivation, autonomy, competence, and relatedness. Sport psychology, particularly the parts about regulation, identity, and post performance debriefing. And officiating science, particularly consistency research, conflict de-escalation, and the literature on referee burnout and retention.

How many sports does this cover?

Forty five plus, including twenty one para and adaptive disciplines. Coach Mindset is sport specific in its drill library and methodology recommendations. Parent Mindset and Mindset Reps for Athletes are sport agnostic by design, because the parent script and the athlete's inner game are universal. Official's Mindset covers the major team and combat sports (basketball, soccer, hockey, football, baseball, lacrosse, volleyball, wrestling, martial arts, boxing) and expands from there.
